Guess who's back???

My crappy phone camera doesn't do her justice.. she is a beaut
Found in the same hoarder's house as the Silent, this nasty Royal did not survive the years so well. It was unfortunately not covered like the Silent was, and all that grime got in the guts of the machine.

I must have gotten to excited, because I completely forgot to mention the history fair. My project? Technology as it advanced through the years.

Some of my most popular display items were typewriters, of course. The IBM in the center is non-functional, but visitors to my display were encouraged to try the Royal and Olympia on the sides.

All typewriters (and other artifacts, for that matter) used in my display were found in the school basement... the coolest part is that I got to keep the typewriters after the fair ended!

An Unexpected Olivetti

Whether or not I keep this machine depends wholly on if I can get it to be less stiff. Quite honestly, it was a pain getting this typecast typed out on its foul heavy keys. If it typed as well as it looked, it would be a favorite of mine for sure!

I hope you all had a happy weekend! (as I type this it is actually Friday, so I hope I had a happy weekend too!)

Launch the Torpedo!

Just a reminder, remember to check in on the parts machine page! I am currently working on updating it, and I have added two new parts machines.

#2. Royal Futura 800

#3. Tower Chieftain (Olivetti Lettera 22)

#4. Royal KHM

#5. Triumph Perfekt

(see my last post)
