I remember these as a kid - they're basically the 40's/50's version of the wooden Stereopticons that our grandparents, or great grandparents would have had when they were young. They used rectangular cardboard slides with two photos side by side - one slightly shifted, and darker than the other so they looked 3-D through the viewer. What fun......good work!
Those View-Masters are really neat. I have one myself and when I see reels I do not have I generally buy them. Thanks for the link.
